Several fire crews attend the blaze in Basford.
The Vedonis building was used in the manufacture of lace clothing and is on the Nottingham Local List.
The list allows the protection of local heritage buildings that have not yet been added to Historic England’s graded listings.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘Appliances from Stockhill, Arnold, Highfields and Stapleford attended a blaze at the Vedonis building in the Basford Lane Industrial Estate.
‘In addition to a command unit from Mansfield and aerial ladder platform from London Road station.
‘The incident was first reported at 5.53pm on Saturday, 18 June.
‘We were on site until 9:30 pm.’
Cllr Linda Woodings who represents Basford on Nottingham City Council said:
‘A second tragedy at Bar Lane Industrial Estate
‘The historic Vedonis building up in flames.
Just over one year on from 70 mature trees being hacked down by the site owner.
‘They have to be replaced.
‘But I really hope the building can be saved.
‘It’s on the Nottingham Local List.
