Police are attending an address in Bakersfield after a suspicious item has been found.

‘People are now able to return to their homes after our officers safely resolved a suspicious package incident in Bakersfield.
‘The item was found in a property in Ashworth Close today (10 October) and a number of properties were evacuated as a precaution.
‘We worked with partners, including Explosive Ordinance Disposal engineers, to safely resolve the incident.’
Sergeant Dave Wardle, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We’d like to thank those residents impacted for their patience and understanding this evening.
“Police will remain at the scene and anyone with concerns should speak to an officer.”
Police said on Friday evening:
‘The item was found in a property in Ashworth Close and we are working with partners including the Explosive Ordinance Disposal engineers.
‘There will be a cordon in place while this work is carried out and a number of properties are likely to be evacuated as a precaution.
‘People are being advised to avoid the area while this work is underway. We would like to thank the public for their patience.’
