Police are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a hospital worker suffered a broken leg in a hit-and-run incident.
The woman, aged in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle as she walked towards a bus stop to go home following a night shift at Nottingham’s City Hospital.
Officers believe the collision took place around 7.45am on 7 January 2025 close to the City Hospital roundabout, in Hucknall Road.
The vehicle did not stop and continued northwards towards Hucknall.
The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre where she received treatment for her injuries.
Officers have carried out a number of inquiries, including a trawl of CCTV footage, but now want to hear from members of the public who were in the area at the time.
Police Constable Frazer Dunn, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We know there will have been a considerable number of potential witnesses to this incident – given the time of day and the change of shifts at the hospital.
“We’d urge anyone who was in the area around this time on 7 January to think about whether they noticed anything which could assist with the investigation.
“Likewise, if anyone has any relevant dashcam footage please get in touch with us.
“The victim suffered a very painful and unpleasant injury and for the driver to not stop at the scene of an incident like this is a very serious offence.”
If you can assist, please call 101, quoting incident 97 of 7 January 2026, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
