Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG have prepared their weekly update as to the Covid situation in their hospitals.
Hospitals
Hospitals in Nottingham have dealt with 284 admissions relating to Covid-19 in the seven days to 14 February, compared with 352 for the previous seven days.
There are 519 beds occupied by Covid+ patients as of the 16 February, this compares to 626 on 9 February.
Of those 519 beds, 9.8% were mechanically ventilated.
Hospitals in Nottinghamshire have more than 75% more people than they did at the peak of the first wave in April.
In the week from 11-17 Feb there were 64 deaths in our hospitals.
The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG ( Clinical Commissioning Group ) is responsible for the healthcare of a population of just over one million people – whether it is visiting your GP, seeing the nurse, picking up a prescription, or having treatment in hospital. The area covered by the CCG includes all of Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire county except Bassetlaw.
CCGs are NHS organisations set up by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 to organise the delivery of NHS services in England.
Prior to 1 April 2020 there were six CCG organisations in the city and county:
- Mansfield and Ashfield CCG
- Newark and Sherwood CCG
- Nottingham City CCG
- Nottingham North and East CCG
- Nottingham West CCG and Rushcliffe CCG
These organisations have now merged to form this single CCG.
