A cold and frosty start, with any early mist and fog patches soon clearing to leave a fine and dry day, with sunny spells. Sunshine may be hazy under high cloud. Temperatures remain below average. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

The day began with temperatures as low as 4°C at 8:00 am, gradually rising to 5°C by 9:00 am. As the morning progresses, temperatures continue to climb, reaching 6°C at 10:00 am and 7°C by 11:00 am. By noon, the temperature reaches 8°C.

The afternoon sees a steady increase in temperatures, with 9°C at 1:00 pm, peaking at 11°C by 3:00 pm. However, as the sun begins to set, temperatures start to dip, with 10°C recorded at both 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. The evening is expected to remain consistent, with temperatures hovering around 9°C from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Cloud thickening for many during the evening, perhaps with isolated coastal showers towards dawn. Slightly milder than recent nights, although ground frost still possible in the Peak District. Minimum temperature 4 °C.


Thicker cloud at first in the north clearing away, then hazy sunshine for most. Cloud thickening and becoming windy overnight. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
