The bank in Central Avenue has now permanently closed.
Announced in March this year, the move included 69 branch closures across the country because of a move to online banking.
HSBC on Central Avenue and Ilkeston’s branch on Bath Street will both close as long as 67 others in the UK.
The bank says that it will offer more varied services for its customers outside of any traditional high street banking model.
A spokesman for the bank added that it hopes to redeploy all 400 staff across the UK to new roles within 15 miles of their homes.
