A car fell victim to the hole after it appeared in Carlton Road in Worksop.
Police said:
‘Carlton Road, Worksop, has been closed between Eastgate and Overend Lane after a large sinkhole appeared in the road.
‘Local diversions are in place and the road will be closed for some time.’
