Image of pair released after man punched to the ground following crash

Police are looking to trace these two men after a man was attacked following a crash.

A man in his 30s was parked up along Oakdale Road, Bakersfield, when a motorcyclist crashed into his black Audi Q5.

The collision caused the motorcyclist to fall onto the road but he was not seriously injured.

The Audi driver got out to check he was OK and at around the same time a Peugeot pulled up next to the scene of the collision.

Two men inside the Peugeot appeared to know the motorcyclist and helped him back onto his motorbike, which then left the scene before driver details had been exchanged.

The Audi driver started taking photos on his phone and this upset the two men who’d been in the Peugeot.

The two men insisted he deleted the photos and when he refused, he was punched to the ground and his phone thrown against a wall.

The two men then got back into the Peugeot and drove off.

The incident happened at around 6:40 pm on 17 August.

Inspector Steve Dalby, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a nasty incident that left the victim extremely shaken.

“Thankfully his physical injuries were not serious but it is important we find those responsible.

“As part of our investigation, we would like to speak to the two men pictured in the images we’re releasing today.

“We believe they might hold vital information about what happened that evening and we would urge them, or anyone who recognises them, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information about their identity can call 101 quoting crime number 23*515317 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
