Image of suspects released after mobile phone stolen in distraction theft

Police are investigating after two men used a distraction tactic to steal a mobile phone.

A student was sat with two friends when a man approached them and asked if any of them spoke Italian.

After a brief conversation, he walked away and moments later the student realised his phone, which had been on the table, was no longer there.

Officers believe a second man stole the phone while the student and his friends were distracted.
