Detectives are investigating an incident where a member of staff was assaulted in a Loughborough pub – and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The incident happened on premises in The Rushes at around midnight between Sunday 16 and Monday 17 June, following England’s opening game of Euro 2024 against Serbia.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was punched at the bar before an item – believed to be a glass – was thrown at him. He suffered facial injuries as a result.
Detective Constable Henry James, the investigating officer, said: “From enquiries carried out so far, I believe the man pictured may have information that could help our investigation.
“If you recognise him and know who he is – or that person is you – then please get in touch. I’m also appealing for anyone who was in the pub at the time and who saw what happened to come forward. Anything you’re able to tell me could help.”
