Officers investigating a burglary have released CCTV images of two men they’d like to speak to.
A student returned to her accommodation in Woolpack Lane, in Nottingham’s Lace Market, and found her front door ajar.
A bank card that had been left on a table was missing and later fraudulently used to make purchases at city centre stores including KFC and CeX.
Inquiries are ongoing into the offences which were committed on Friday 7 June.
PC Ashley Hewitt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are working hard to trace those responsible for these offences and remain determined to bring them to justice.
“As part of our ongoing investigation we’re urging anyone who recognises these two individuals to please come forward and get in touch with us.
“Investigating burglaries is a big priority for us, as is preventing them from happening in the first place.
“That’s why I’d like to remind all students to make sure all doors and windows are locked whenever they leave their accommodation – even if they go out for a just a few minutes as was the case in this report.”
Anyone who recognises the two people pictured or who has any other information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 680 of 7 June 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
