Officers have released an image of two people they wish to trace after a teenager was threatened with violence and robbed of his belongings.
The incident happened just before 7pm on Saturday 29 June at Farndon Cricket Club in Newark.
The 15-year-old victim was playing football when he was approached by two boys who threatened to stab him if he did not hand over the ball.
No knife was seen during the incident and the victim was not injured. The two boys then took the ball and fled the scene in the direction of Farndon Road.
A number of lines of inquiry have taken place, but so far no arrests have been made.
Officers have now released an image of two people that could help them further their investigation. They are calling on the public’s help to identify them.
PC Reece Haines, who is the investigating the incident, said:
“We treat all reports of robbery extremely seriously and are determined to catch those responsible.
“Not only were threats of serious violence made towards the victim, but they also humiliated the victim by making him get down on his knees before taking his football.
“We have released an image of two people who could help us further our investigation and are calling on the public’s help.
