Image released after bride-to-be has phone stolen in Nottingham restaurant

Police are appealing for the public’s help after a bride-to-be iPhone was stolen during her hen party.

CCTV shows a man sitting at a table at Taco Bell, in Angel Row, Nottingham, and finding the device under a food wrapper.

But rather than hand it in, he put the iPhone in his pocket and left the fast food restaurant.

Officers have released an image of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident, which happened in the early hours of 2 June.

“The victim was on her hen party and, as is so easily done, left her iPhone on the table after it’d become hidden under a food wrapper.

“When she returned, she was distressed to find it was no longer there and had not been handed in.

“We have reviewed CCTV footage and are satisfied the phone was stolen. We also believe the man in this image will be able to assist the investigation and would ask him to come forward.

“Likewise, if you recognise him, please get in touch with us by calling 101 quoting crime number 24*339811.”
