Police have released images of two people they would like to trace after a man was assaulted on a bus.
The victim was waiting for a bus in Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham, when he was reportedly spat at during an altercation.
Moments later he boarded a bus and was followed on board by two men, who then repeatedly struck him in front of other passengers.
Officers would like to speak to these two men as part of their enquiries into the incident, which took place at around 8.40pm on 5 July.

PC Malachi Dennis, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Thankfully the victim’s injuries were not serious but it’s important we trace those behind the assault.
“Violent behaviour will not be tolerated in Nottingham and so I’d ask anyone who recognises the people in these images to please come forward.”
