Police are investigating after a group of students were threatened while walking back to their accommodation.
The group were approached by two people in Peel Street, Nottingham city centre, at approximately 12.30am on 3 March 2026.
One of the individuals pulled a bladed weapon from a rucksack and pointed it at the group.
No injuries were reported and detectives have pursued a number of lines of enquiry to trace those involved.

They are now appealing for help from the public.
Detective Sergeant Frank Guddemi, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We take reports such as this extremely seriously as there can be no excuse for wielding any kind of weapon in the street.
“We believe the two people in these images will be able to assist our investigation and would urge anyone who recognises them to come forward.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting 26000124296.
