Police have released an image of a man they wish to trace after a teenager was harassed while shopping in Kimberley.
The incident happened on Sunday 9 November just before 3 pm in Greens Lane.
The 16-year-old girl was shopping in Sainsbury’s when she noticed a man staring at her.
When she left the shop, she was then approached by him outside the Card Factory.
The girl said he made her feel ‘scared’ and ‘intimidated’ as he began to pay her complements and ask her where she lived as well as talking about a property he owned.
A shop worker intervened, and he fled the scene.
Our officers have carried out a number of lines of inquiry to locate the man but so far, they are unable to identify him.
They are now calling on the public’s help.
PC Olivia Pettitt, who is investigating the incident, said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and made the girl feel scared and intimidated.
“We take all reports of harassment and intimidation extremely seriously. We have carried out a number of lines of inquiry since this incident was reported to us on 9 November.
“We really need the public’s help. We have released an image of a man that could help us further our investigation.
Do you know the man in the image? Are you the man in the image? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
