Police have released an image of a man they would like to trace following a nasty attack in Nottingham city centre.
The incident happened inside McDonald’s in Angel Row during the early hours of 28 June, following England’s World Cup fixture against Panama.
The 23-year-old male victim was punched multiple times by a man, causing injuries to his face and a broken cheekbone.
Officers have carried out a number of lines of inquiry to locate the person responsible, including taking witness statements and conducting an extensive CCTV search.
They have now released an image of a man who could help further their investigation and are calling on the public for help to identify him.
PC Madison Hayes, who is investigating the incident, said:
“This was a nasty assault, and we are determined to catch the person responsible.
“We simply will not tolerate this type of behaviour in the city centre.
“We have released an image of a man who could help us with our inquiries. Do you know the man in the image? Are you the man in the image? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
