Officers investigating a wallet theft have released an image of a man they’d like to speak to.
The owner first realised his wallet was missing after returning home from a visit to Asda in Radford Road, Hyson Green.
He then received messages on his phone telling him that two of his bank cards had been used to buy items at the shop and other stores in the area.
The theft is understood to have taken place at around 5.30pm on 26 August 2022, after the man visited the cash machine outside Asda.
PC Christopher Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Anyone who recognises the man in this image should get in touch with the police as soon as possible.
“We believe he may have some important information that could assist us with our investigation.
“As a force we take all reports of theft extremely seriously as we understand how upsetting these offences can be.
“We are still investigating this incident, so we’d ask that anyone with information calls the police on 101, quoting incident 22000504309 of 26 August 2022.
“Information can also be left anonymously by phoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
