Police have appealed for information after a man’s wallet was stolen.
The man first realised his wallet had gone missing outside a mosque in Gregory Boulevard, Hyson Green, at around 7.45pm on 5 September 2022.
Within half an hour, the man had received a notification on his phone saying someone had tried to use the card to buy items from a number of shops nearby.
The card has not yet been retrieved, with officers now releasing a CCTV image of someone they believe could assist them with their inquiries.
Sergeant Dan Buckle, of Nottinghamshire Police, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It’s extremely important that anyone who recognises the man in this image gets in touch with the police as soon as possible.
“As a force we take all reports of theft we receive extremely seriously for the simple reason that we understand how upsetting offences of this nature can be.
“It’s important people realise that taking items that don’t belong them is never acceptable and will land them in hot water with the police.
“We are still investigating this incident, so we’d ask that anyone with information calls the police on 101, quoting incident 628 of 6 September 2022, or phones Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
