Police investigating a dangerous driving incident have released an image of a motorcyclist.
Officers were on patrol in Ilkeston Road, Radford, when they saw a rider perform a wheelie at high speed.
A short pursuit then took place, with police illuminating the squad car’s blue lights and sirens and following the Suzuki bike.
After being told to pull over, the rider initially pulled into Montfort Street, Radford, before then doing a U-turn and speeding away back along Ilkeston Road.
Officers have now released images of a rider they’d like to speak to following the incident, which happened at around 6.30pm on 12 August 2022.
Police Constable Ryan Baxter, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The standard of driving on show that evening was completely unacceptable and could’ve quite easily put other road users and pedestrians at risk of harm.
“Dangerous driving in all its forms will never be tolerated on our roads and will always be met with a robust response from our officers.
“We would ask anyone who recognises the person in this image to contact us, as we believe this rider may be able to shed some light about what happened.
“Anyone with any information about this incident should call the police on 101, quoting incident 659 of 12 August 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
