Image released after woman assaulted by man in Nottingham ASDA store

An investigation into the assault of a woman inside a Hyson Green shop is underway.

Police were called after a man grabbed a woman he didn’t know while she was shopping in Asda.

While the woman wasn’t hurt, she was left shaken up by the interaction, which has been classified as an assault.

The incident happened around 9.10pm on 12 June, with the man leaving the shop and the woman notifying the police.

Officers suspect the man in this picture could’ve been involved, so are now releasing the image in a bid to try and track him down.

PC Ryan Bullock, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“The victim was left really shaken up by this incident, with our officers attending the scene to find her visibly distressed.

“She was minding her own business doing her shopping when she was suddenly – and without any provocation – grabbed by a man she didn’t know.

“We’re still in the process of trying to establish exactly what happened here, so we’d urge the man in this picture to make himself known to us, so that we can ask him some questions and get to the bottom of this.”

Anyone who recognises him is asked to share this information with the police, either by contacting officers directly on 101, quoting incident 217 of 12 June 2026, or by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111, where reports can be left anonymously.
