Image released after woman sustains broken nose in Rock City assault

Police have released images of a woman they wish to trace after a female victim was left with a broken nose following an attack at Rock City.

The incident happened on Friday 2 May at around 1.30am at the Talbot Street venue.

The 19-year-old victim was on a night out with friends when she has entered the smoking area.

An unknown member of the public bumped into the victim causing her to fall into another woman.

The woman then became aggressive and attacked the victim by punching her in the right side of her nose.

Officers have carried out a thorough investigation to locate the person responsible which has included an extensive CCTV trawl.

They have now released images of a woman they wish to trace who could help them with their investigation and are calling on the public’s help to identify them.

Sergeant Darren Barnett, who is investigating the incident, said:

“Violence in our city’s bars and clubs will never be tolerated, and we are determined to catch the person responsible.

“The victim had to attend Queen’s Medical Centre as a result of the injuries, where it was confirmed that her nose had been broken.

“Since the incident, she had to have her nose realigned, which must have been incredibly distressing.

“We have released images of a woman that could help us with our inquiries and are calling on the public’s help.

“Do you know the woman in these images? Are you the woman in these images? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
