Image shared after victim’s bank card used after leaving wallet on bus

Officers are appealing for information after a man left his wallet on a bus and later found his bank card had been used fraudulently.

It’s believed an offender picked up the victim’s wallet from the floor before leaving the bus.

His bank card was then used in various stores in Nottingham city centre on 18 May 2024.

Inquiries are ongoing into the theft.

As part of their investigative work, officers have now issued a CCTV image of a woman they want to identify and speak to in connection with the incident.

PC Tom Dodge, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “As part of our ongoing inquiries I am appealing to the woman featured in these CCTV images, or anyone who recognises her, to please come forward. We believe she may have information that could help us.”

Anyone who recognises the woman is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 590 of 18 May 2024 , or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
