Image shared after woman attacked while helping taxi driver in Nottingham

Police investigating an assault in Nottingham have released an image of a person they would like to trace.

A young woman was attacked by three other females in Trent Street after the woman filmed them being abusive towards a taxi driver.

After reviewing footage of the incident, officers were able to identify two suspects but the identity of a third person remains unknown, despite an extensive investigation into the incident on 17 October 2024.

The officers have now released this image and are asking anyone who recognises the individual to come forward.

PC Joe Blake, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a nasty assault and it was pure luck the victim was not more seriously injured.

“Footage shows her being hit and pulled to the ground by her hair, before her head was repeatedly stamped on.

“We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour in Nottingham and it is really important we speak to the person in this image as part of our investigation, as we believe she can assist us with our inquiries.

“Do you know who she is? If so please give us a call on 101 quoting crime reference 24*621456. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
