Images released after football-related disorder in Nottingham city centre

Police officers have released images of four men they would like to speak to as part of an ongoing investigation into football-related violence.

Officers swiftly attended after reports of violent disorder outside the Fat Cat bar in Chapel Bar, Nottingham city centre.

The incident happened shortly after 1.45pm on 6 February 2022 – ahead of Nottingham Forest’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Leicester City at the City Ground.

It was reported a group of Leicester City fans threw chairs and a table at the Fat Cat bar’s windows, causing damage and leaving members of the public in fear for their safety.

Nottinghamshire Police has already charged five men over the disorder who are all due to appear in court next month.

Detective Sergeant Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was unacceptable and needless violence which caused members of the public to fear for their safety.

“While we have charged five men in relation to this violence, our meticulous investigation is very much ongoing.

“We remain determined to catch all those believed to be involved and bring them before the court.

“I would encourage them to do the right thing and hand themselves in as soon as possible.

“As part of our investigation, we are now urging anyone who recognises the men pictured to please come forward and give us their names.

“We believe the people in the images could have information which could help our investigation, so we would like to speak to them as soon as possible.”

Anyone who recognises any of the men is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 182 of 6 February 2022, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
