Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault have released images of two persons of interest.

A teenage girl reported being sexually assaulted in Goodliffe Street, New Basford, around 8pm on 17 September.

The victim approached a group of people at a tram stop in Shipstone Street, before being led away by one of them.

Extensive inquiries have been going on over the last few weeks, with police conducting daily patrols in and around the Goodliffe Street area.

Police are now able to release images of two people they want to speak to in connection with their investigation.

Detective Inspector Hannah Frame, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Specially trained officers have continued to support the victim since she suffered this ordeal.

“As with all incidents of this nature, our priority has been and will continue to be the welfare of the people impacted.

“We’re determined to identify the person responsible for this assault, so have been conducting extensive inquiries since it happened.

“On that note, we can now release images of two persons of interest, who we believe could have information that could assist our investigation.

“We’d strongly advise them to make themselves known to us, so that we can ask them a few questions.

“Likewise, we’d ask anyone who recognises either of them to contact the police immediately.”

Anyone who can assist is asked to call 101, quoting incident 726 of 17 September 2025, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
