Images show car completely destroyed by fire in Nottinghamshire

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service shared the images after the incident in Sutton in Ashfield.

The incident took place on Tuesday 11 June on Dalestorth Road in the Nottinghamshire town.

Nobody was injured.

Pictures show the vehicle on the pavement alight, and the remains of it after the blaze was extinguished by firefighters.

Ashfield Fire Station attended the incident.

A spokesperson said:

‘This afternoon ( Tuesday 11 June ) one fire appliance from Ashfield Fire Station responded to a vehicle fire on Dalestorth Road, Sutton in Ashfield.

The service was called when the car which was parked on the pavement was reported to be well alight

‘On arrival, a car was well alight.

‘The vehicle fire was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel jet and a dry powder extinguisher.’
