Police were called to an address in Bulwell earlier today.
Chief Inspector Annie Reavley said: “We were called earlier this morning following reports of concern to a man’s safety.
“The man remains in the property but has started to throw items from the window.
“Officers have had to evacuate one house nearby, so residents are safe.
“We will remain in attendance. It’s our belief that this is a self-contained incident and we hope it will be resolved safely soon.”

The man has left the property and is being treated by medics and will visit Queen’s Medical Centre.
