A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and a 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
It is in connection with reports of a gun being fired in Tennyson Street, Radford, at about 5.55pm on Friday 3 August 2018.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested yesterday (Saturday 4 August 2018) and remains in police custody.
Police have increased patrols in Radford and urge residents to come forward with information.
It is believed that there were several people at the scene and we ask that anyone who may have information to let us know.
Detective Inspector Kim Binns said: “Our priority is to keep you safe and we have put extra police officers on the streets in Radford.
“Tell them or call in if you know that someone has a gun or any weapon. Tell us if you know who is involved in the incidents you hear about and tell us if you have any concerns at all.
“Violence on our streets is something none of us should tolerate or be passive about. Information passed to us could help prevent these incidents happening in the first place.
