The fox family ( or two! ) were filmed in a garden in Lady Bay West Bridgford.
Liz Renshaw was surprised to receive a text message from her neighbour to tell her there were ‘fox cubs in your garden!’
The family rushed to the window and sure enough there were four or five fox cubs at the bottom of their garden.
No problem, it’s lovely that other people will get to enjoy watching them too.
As the next couple of weeks passed, more and more emerged – at the last count there were nine cubs and a mother.
Liz told The Wire: ‘We can’t believe there are so many! She’s a supermum.
‘They’re either all hers or she’s taken on two litters – we’re not sure.
‘We borrowed a trail camera from a kind stranger on our local Facebook group and it’s been brilliant to see them up close and find out what they get up to overnight.
‘They play from 8 pm to 6 am, wrestling, chasing, and biting each other!
‘The mummy prowls around too.
‘We’ve got two little girls who have adored watching them from the window, asking to cuddle them but we’ve explained we just watch!
‘They’ve been using binoculars to get a better look.
‘It feels really special to have this experience and people have been asking to pop round to see them too, it’s been a very busy fortnight!
‘They’ve attempted to climb up our slide without much success, and they’ve had a good chew on some gardening gloves and a plant pot so we’re going to have to be careful what we leave out over the summer!
