A fashion retailer with three shops in Nottinghamshire will close its West Bridgford store for good.
Real Clothing, which has operated a womenswear fashion boutique on Rectory Road for almost a decade will close for the last time on Saturday 18th August.
The two Southwell stores are completely unaffected.
The store changed strategy earlier this year by becoming an outlet store selling end-of-line items from top brands.
Speaking in December about the change the owners said: ‘”We have tried extremely hard for 8 years, but unfortunately it has become increasingly difficult to keep this shop viable.
‘Our proximity to Nottingham, aggressive online discounting and the opening of stores in premium locations in Nottingham, by some of our popular brands, has meant we need to rethink.’
The shop will hold a closing down sale on Friday and Saturday 17th and 18th August to clear remaining stock.
In a statement today Real Clothing said:
‘Sadly, we’ve taken the decision to close the store on Saturday 18th August.
‘We would like to thank our customers for their business over the past nine years and we extend a very warm welcome to you in our vibrant stores in Southwell.’
Real Clothing operates a menswear and a womenswear store in Southwell with brands like White Stuff, Joules, Barbour, Loake, Remus Uomo and many more.
