Inquest into West Bridgford mum’s death opens and adjourns

An inquest has opened into the death of a West Bridgford mother-of-three, but has been adjourned pending continuing police investigations.

Tara Newbold, 29, was found dead at a property in Alford Court, West Bridgford on October 26, 2016.

A 33-year-old man arrested in connection with her death is still on bail pending the police investigation.

Assistant coroner for Nottinghamshire, Ivan Cartwright, opened and adjourned an inquest into Ms Newbold’s death at Nottingham Coroner’s Court, at Nottingham Council House, on Tuesday 14 February.

Mr Cartwright said Ms Newbold died at a residential address in West Bridgford.

He added: “A post mortem examination was carried out very shortly after Ms Newbold’s death and the provisional cause of death has been identified as being linked to suspected consumption of illicit drugs.”

The assistant coroner said no completion date for the inquest has been set because  Nottinghamshire Police need to continue with their investigation and inquiries.
