Investigation after man subjected to racist abuse in Milton Street Nottingham

Officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following an alleged hate incident.

It is reported that a man was walking down Milton Street, Nottingham city centre, when he was subjected to racist slurs and verbal abuse.

The suspect is then reported to have boarded a bus following the incident, which happened at around 10.05pm on Monday 16 August 2021.

Officers believe that the man pictured could have information which may help them with the investigation.

PC Phoebe Lau, from Nottinghamshire Police, is investigating and said: “We are very keen to trace the man in the pictures as we believe he could help us with our investigation into this incident.

“Hate-based abuse has no place in our society and such behaviour is completely unacceptable. We take reports of anyone being targeted very seriously and will thoroughly investigate where this is the case.
