Investigation launched after stabbing in the Aspley area of Nottingham

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the street.

Police are investigating, including scouring CCTV footage and speaking to residents in the area, after the 30-year-old was attacked as he was walking along Wareham Close, Aspley just after 9.45pm on Monday (22 March 2021).

Three men are thought to have been involved in the attack and the man was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are said to be serious but not life-threatening.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation into this incident continues and we would urge anyone who witnessed this or has any information to get in touch with us as soon as possible.

“A man has been left hospitalised with really significant injuries and we are very keen to get any information which could help us understand the circumstances of what happened.

“We are absolutely dedicated to tackling and investigating weapon-related crime which we tackle robustly through enforcement, as well as proactive patrols and engagement with the public. Information from the community can continue to help us act to make neighbourhoods safer and we will act on people’s concerns.
