Salon group, KH Hair, is celebrating after making it to the finals of the 2018 British Hairdressing Business Awards in four separate categories.
The awards, hosted by Hairdressers Journal International (HJI), celebrate the very best salon businesses, recognising and rewarding the creative talents of individuals and teams across the UK.
KH Hair Nottingham, based in Castle Gate, has been named as a finalist in the Retail Salon of the Year category for the second year running and the salon’s 2nd year trainee, Emily Dyer has made it through in the Junior of the Year category.
KH Hair Arnold has been shortlisted for the Front of House Team of the Year Award and the KH Hair Training Academy is in with a chance of retaining the Training Award it won in 2017.
Debbie McMenamin, co-director at the Nottingham salon, said: “We are really proud of our team and it’s a real honour to be shortlisted for a BHBA for the 4th year running. It’s fantastic Emily has been recognised for everything she has achieved. Hairdressing is such an exciting and dynamic industry to join, with so many opportunities. To be attending this amazing event at such a young age, with some of the best icons in the industry, is amazing. She will attend an interview in London next week as part of the judging process and we wish her the very best of luck.”
Darren Messias, joint managing director of the KH Hair Group, added: “We’re thrilled to be going to the finals again this year. Huge congratulations go to everyone involved. We’re very happy for Emily as she has worked so hard and this is the first time any of our trainees have been shortlisted for Junior of the Year so we’re all very proud of her. And, of course, we’re delighted the Training Academy has been recognised again this year and we wish them all the best in retaining the Training Award they won in 2017.
The awards ceremony will take place in London on 17 September.
