Two people were arrested in the early hours of this morning (Friday) after man was robbed at knife-point in Nottingham.
Officers were called to an incident at the Forest Recreation Ground at around 1.55am after a man was approached near a café, punched in the face and held at knife-point by men who demanded he handed over personal items.
The suspects then fled the scene in the direction of Waverly Street.
Around five minutes later officers arrested a 30-year-old man and a 20-year-old man nearby.
Detective Sergeant Nigel Malik said: “This was a nasty attack that understandably left the victim, a man in his thirties, shaken. Thankfully he wasn’t seriously harmed in this incident but this must have been a very frightening experience for him.
“Great work was done by officers responding during the early hours to a knife incident. They were on scene within minutes, locating and arresting two suspects on suspicion of robbery. To complete the good work – stolen items and a knife were recovered.”
The two men remain in police custody.
