The Lady Bay pub in West Bridgford has undergone a £300,000 makeover, the interior has been completely transformed.
Paul and Alison Buxton have been licensees at the Lady Bay for the last 18 years.
The business holds its official opening this Friday 18th October with Live Music from Jacki B, an up and coming singer / songwriter with a passion for acoustic music who is also a resident of the Lady Bay.
Walls were torn down and replaced inside the Lady Bay, which was completely gutted during the three-week makeover.
Regulars can expect a welcoming, modern local.
Rather than two separate bars, there’s now one open room for diners, sports fans, and families and everyone else who visits.
The venue now boasts seven 4K TV screens.
Everywhere is newly decorated and re-designed – even the refurbished patio with a heated undercover seating area.
The pub offers an extensive new menu with all your winter warmers like lamb shank and liver and onions – already a firm favourite with the locals.
They also provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menu options.
‘Although it’s the same size the pub feels like a much bigger space and we’ve managed to fit 15 more covers in too.’
The renovations revealed some of the hidden features from more than 60 years ago when the pub was a home, including a traditional Victorian fireplace.
A programme of events has been planned including a Harry Potter themed quiz on Thursday, October 17 and a Little Monsters disco on October 31.
