“We hope the new facility is welcomed by skaters far and wide, in line with proposed improvements at other skate parks across the Borough.”

The official opening is 25th May 2019, here’s a video taken some weeks ago when skaters started to use the facility.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Executive Manager for Communities Dave Mitchell said: “We are pleased to be working in conjunction with Sport England and Maverick Skateparks to deliver The Hook’s new skate park in Lady Bay, which has benefited from a complete makeover with a new concrete structure at the cost of £200,000.

“The site, which is ready for use, replaces the former wooden structure which was damaged in 2017 and the remaining facilities were deemed unfit for purpose and lacked value for the community.

“We hope the new facility is welcomed by skaters far and wide, in line with proposed improvements at other skate parks across the Borough.”
