Nottingham Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi was delighted with his players as they secured a 2-1 victory away to Luton Town.

Goals from Lewis Grabban and Sammy Ameobi secured all three points on the road and Lamouchi felt his players produced a performance with the perfect attitude to come away with the win.

Speaking after the game, he said: “I think it was fully deserved. After two defeats, a bad moment, I was so happy with the performance and the result as we deserved this victory.

“We created a lot, we missed the last touch and we could have scored more in the first half. We could have avoided the goal we conceded but it was a good performance, a perfect attitude from the players who showed discipline and stuck to the plan.

“I am so happy for them because they did work really well this week and we won with our quality. To play like this, is not easy for the opponent. We didn’t concede too many chances and we created a lot so now we just need to enjoy this great result.”

Lamouchi felt the victory was even more important after defeat in the previous two games and wants his players to keep their quality levels high and believe in their own ability.

He said: “It was important because the expectations are higher. The players are doing well and the fans, the club have the trust in them and the players need to have the trust in themselves. We have quality and we have to play with our quality; without this attitude, aggressiveness and discipline it is a different game and a different performance.

“It is good for the future but we need to focus on our quality and to stay close to this level.”
