I bought this pair of stools off a well known selling site a couple of months ago for a bargainous £10 for the two.
Other than needing a little TLC, they were in great condition and were just crying out for a bit of fun to be had with them!
If you want to brighten up your kitchen or a kids room, these hacks are super-simple, cost-effective and hardly take any time at all.
The fabrics cost me around £2 each from boxes of remnants I came across on my travels (top tip – use old deconstructed cushion covers or keep a look out for off-cuts going spare in local department stores as you can often grab a bargain). Buy tester pots of paint from your diy store to spruce up the frame, fix fabrics using a staple gun or fabric glue and… ta-da!!
It could even be a fun summer-holiday activity for the kids to try – my 4 year old son helped me to paint these stools on a boring rainy afternoon, which he absolutely loved, so there’s no excuse not to try it yourselves!
Play around with different colours and textures to make a unique piece of furniture for your home.
You can pick up similar bargains from online auction sites or from your local Swedish superstore (you know the one I mean!)
