Lots of residents have been asking about the licensing hours extension application that appears on lampposts and fences around West Bridgford.
The application ( pictured ) is to amend the existing premises licence of regulated entertainment such as live music, dance and recorded music on Central Avenue, Bridgford Park, Bridge Field and Tudor Square is just so that the council can deliver The Tour of Britain start event on September 8th.
The application is for Bridgford Park, The Croquet Lawn, Bridge Field, Central Avenue and Tudor Square.
Rushcliffe Borough Council told us today, ‘We wish to extend it from 8am to 11pm Monday to Sunday, where as currently it is 10am to 10pm, Monday to Sunday.
‘Local residents may worry what else have we planned around music and noise at events at these extended times, and to clarify there are no current plans to regularly present music very early in the day or very late at night.’
‘The existing programme of events and markets on these locations operate well within the licence we already have and there is nothing new being planned that should cause anyone concern.’
