The A1 southbound in Nottinghamshire is closed between the A620 (Ranby) and A57 (Worksop) due to a lorry fire.

The road has now reopened – Lane 1 remains closed for recovery and clean up.

The carriageway is likely to remain closed for some time for protracted recovery and clean-up works. The road surface will also need assessing once recovery and clean up has taken place.
Diversion Route:
Road users are advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol on road signs:
- Leave the A1 southbound at the A620 junction at Ranby and turn right onto the A620 towards Retford.
- Follow the A620 to Retford and at the Hallcroft Roundabout take the 3rd exit to stay on the A620.
- Continue to the signalised junction with the A638 and turn right onto the A638.
- Follow the A638 through Eaton and Gamston to the A1 Markham Moor interchange. at the roundabout take the 2nd exit to rejoin the A1 southbound to continue your journey.
