Road reopened after floodwater cleared – traffic coping well
The A46 in Nottinghamshire southbound between the A606 (near Melton) and the A6006 (near Six Hills) is closed due to flooding following heavy rainfall.
Contractors are en-route to scene to work on clearing the flood.
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the below diversion route
From A46 Widmerpool junction, take the exit slip road and at the roundabout, take the first exit along the A606 heading south-east.
Continue on the A606 until you reach a crossroads with Six Hills Lane.
Turn right (south-west) and follow the road for 6km. At the next junction, continue over the crossroads heading south-west along the B676 until it re-joins the A46 at the Six Hill’s junction, via the entry slip road.
