A Labour source says they’re “confident” Claire Ward will become East Midlands mayor today.
She’s just arrived at the Nottingham Tennis Centre. Result expected around or after 2.30pm.

Note
There is only one council up for election in the East Midlands region, the city of Lincoln, which has stayed Labour.
However, that does not mean there is nothing of note happening in the area. We have already seen the PCC result for Lincolnshire, where the Conservatives have held the position, but their vote share has fallen by a significant 23%.
