River Trent Tributaries in Nottinghamshire
Flooding is possible – be prepared
River levels are forecast to rise at the Lowdham river gauge as a result of heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected this evening, 16/08/2019. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire, the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck and others. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 6 hours. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 09:00, 17/08/2019, or as the situation changes.
