Live updates: Line closed – Incident near railway blocks all Nottingham Derby services and London St Pancras

The emergency services are dealing with an incident near the railway.

‘Train services between Nottingham and East Midlands Parkway can currently not run. Where possible we are sourcing rail replacement buses to run. We expect this disruption to last up to 1400.’

East Midlands Railway said:

‘This is between Nottingham and East Midlands Parkway. This is is disrupting our trains on the Nottingham/London St Pancras, Newark Castle/Derby/Crewe, Grimsby/Lincoln/Nottingham/Leicester and Nottingham/Derby/Matlock routes.

‘The emergency services are on their way to the site.

‘Trains running through the area in both directions can currently not run.

‘At present we are expecting the problem to be fixed in the next 2 hours. As soon as the problem is fixed our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 1200.’

Cross Country Trains said:

‘Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Derby – Nottingham, all lines are currently blocked

Services will be suspended between Derby – Nottingham until further notice.’
