The M1 is now closed northbound within J24 Kegworth East Midlands due to a multi-vehicle collision.

‘The M1 is now fully open northbound within J24 Kegworth following an earlier collision. All crews have left scene. Delays remain but will ease shortly. Have a safe onward journey.’
There are severe delays of 90 minutes on the M1 in Leicestershire northbound between 23 and J24 due to a collision closing the M1 within J24. Leicester Police and emergency services are currently in attendance along with recovery crews.
Traffic is currently being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads at J24.

AA Roadwatch 2:05 pm:
‘All lanes stopped and queueing traffic due to crash, three cars involved on M1 Northbound at J24 A50 (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport). Lanes three and four (of four) blocked but now the fire service has arrived and temporarily shut off all lanes.
