‘All lanes are now OPEN on the M1 northbound between J26 and J27 near Nottingham following a lorry spillage.
Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as 20 min delays and approx. 3 miles of congestion remain.

National Highways said at 2:49 pm on Friday 17 March:
Lanes 1 and 2 are CLOSED on the M1 northbound between J26 and J27 near Nottingham due to a fuel spillage from a lorry.
National Highways traffic officers are on the scene.
There are currently delays of 30 mins and approx. 5 miles of congestion.
AA Roadwatch 1:58 pm incident reported:
‘Two lanes closed and heavy traffic due to stalled truck and spillage on M1 Northbound from J26 A610 (Nottingham / Eastwood) to J27 A608 Mansfield Road (Hucknall / Underwood). Lanes one and two (of four) are closed. The spillage is now getting cleared up.’
