All lanes have now reopened on the M1 southbound within J19 (Catthorpe Interchange) following the earlier collision.
There is still approx. 2 miles of congestion on approach, causing residual delays of 20 minutes above usual journey times.

‘Following a multiple vehicle collision, the M1 south in Leicestershire remains blocked within J19 which includes the link from the M6 south.
‘Crews are working to clear the vehicles which is taking time as one overturned and caught fire.
‘There are delays of up to 60 minutes.’
