NH 10:06 am Lanes 2, 3 and 4 are now open past the scene of this M1 southbound incident between J29 and J28 near Mansfield. Lane one (1) remains closed for ongoing recovery and clear up.
There is approx. 5 miles congestion on approach, with delays of 30 minutes above usual journey times.
NH 09:11 am: On the M1 in Derbyshire, there are long delays of 60 minutes between J29 and J28 near Mansfield due to a tanker which has been involved in a collision. As a result of the incident, there is debris and a spillage across the carriageway.

Lanes 1 and 2 (of 4) are currently closed whilst recovery agents remove the vehicle from the network. National Highways service providers are also on scene working to clear the carriageway.
There are currently approx. 6 miles of congestion on approach to the incident.
Road users are advised to expect disruption and to allow extra journey time.
